One Killed in Bike-Lorry Collision at Kaniyamppuram, Ottapalam
One person was killed in a road accident at Kaniyamppuram in Ottapalam. The accident occurred near Ezhumuri when a motorcycle and a lorry collided.
The deceased has been identified as Sanoop (30), a native of Jainimedu, Palakkad. He was serving as the Deputy Post Warden of Palakkad Civil Defence.
Sanoop’s brother Sanjay (29), who was travelling with him on the motorcycle, sustained serious injuries. He is currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital at Kaniyamppuram.
The motorcycle was travelling towards Palakkad when it collided with the lorry coming from the opposite direction.
The injured were initially taken to the Taluk Hospital and later shifted to a private hospital at Kaniyamppuram for further treatment.
